The mechanical team is in charge of designing the whole physical structure and performance of the AUV, which is accomplished through the use of CADing software and 3D printer equipment, as well as doing different analysis. Some examples are Computer Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Buoyancy calculations, center of gravity and buoyancy, amongst others, to validate the design. The team is also in charge of manufacturing and assembling all the external structure, external components and all of Proteus watertight enclosures.
